The world premiere of the cargo-and-passenger "es-four" took place in September 2015 - within the framework of the international auto show in Frankfurt, and its sales on the European market were launched in the summer of 2016.

Compared to the previous model, the five-door has changed in a similar scenario with the standard "brothers" in the mid-size family, but in addition to this, it also "armed" with a turbocharged V6 engine.

Outside, the "fifth" Audi S4 Avant demonstrates a beautiful, modern and toned appearance, and its distinctive features are a more developed body kit around the body, original wheel rims measuring 18 or 19 inches, a quartet of exhaust pipes and silver-gray accents (mirrors, inserts in the front air intakes, rear diffuser, etc.).

The overall length of the "charged" station wagon is 4745 mm, height - 1411 mm, width - 1842 mm. The wheelbase of the car is 2825 mm, and its ground clearance is 140 mm.

The curb weight of the cargo-passenger model is 1675 kg.

Against the background of the "standard shed A4", the five-door Audi S4 stands out with the same details as the sedan of the same name - a raised multi-steering wheel cut at the bottom, decorative inserts made of brushed aluminum and sports front seats with adjustable lateral support rollers.

Otherwise, the models are identical inside - elegant design, impeccable ergonomics, premium performance, a five-seater layout and a 505-liter trunk (with the second row of seats folded down - 1510-liter).

The fifth generation Audi S4 Avant is driven by the same unit as the "charged" four-door - a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 bi-turbo petrol engine with direct injection, phase shifters at the inlet and outlet and 24 clans, generating 354 horsepower at 5400-6400 rpm and 500 Nm of peak thrust at 1370-4500 rpm.

It mates with an 8-band "automatic" Tiptronic and all-wheel drive quattro with a central "self-block" and a standard torque distribution in the ratio "40:60" in favor of the rear axle.

The second "hundred" high-performance station wagon exchanges in 4.9 seconds, accelerates to a maximum of 250 km / h (for an additional fee - up to 280 km / h), and in mixed mode it consumes 7.5 liters of gasoline for every 100 kilometers.

Structurally, the "fifth" Audi S4 Avant does not differ from the three-volume "es-four" - modular MLB bogie, independent five-link front and rear suspension (optionally - with adaptive shock absorbers), active electromechanical power steering and brake system with ventilated disc devices measuring 350 mm on the front and 330 mm on the rear axle (in the first case with six-piston calipers, and in the second with four-piston calipers).

On the Russian market, the Audi A4 Avant with the "B9" index is not officially presented, but in the countries of the Old World (to be more precise, in Germany) the station wagon is available at a price of 62,450 euros (~ 4.53 million rubles at the rate for the summer of 2018) ...

In terms of standard and optional equipment, the five-door model is completely identical to the four-door model.
