In early May 2016, the Brazilian division of Chevrolet presented to the public a serial version of the updated second-generation TrailBlazer SUV, which first debuted in March at the Bangkok Auto Show as a show car.

As a result of the modernization, the car not only changed noticeably in appearance, but also became a little lighter than the "pre-reform" one, received an improved interior and replenished its functionality with new "goodies".

The restyled Chevrolet TrailBlazer got a completely redrawn "front" part - it was separated by frowned lighting equipment, a "two-story" radiator grille with sharper edges and a raised bumper. Thanks to the changes made, the SUV began to look more harmonious, more modern and more prestigious.

From other angles, the car was left without visible improvements.

The external dimensions of the "TrailBlazer" after the renovation remained at the "pre-reform" level: 4878 mm in length, 1848 mm in height and 1902 mm in width. The wheelbase and ground clearance of the five-door have 2845 mm and 255 mm, respectively.

The redesign praised major changes to the interior of the second generation Chevrolet TrailBlazer, with a completely new front fascia and improved trim materials inside the car.

The interior of the SUV is tailored in a modern and attractive style with a three-spoke steering wheel, visual "instrumentation" and a stylish center console, "sheltered" on itself a color multimedia screen and well-arranged control bodies.

Like the pre-styling model, the car can accommodate up to seven passengers, and its cargo compartment is designed to carry baggage from 554 to 1830 liters.

For the updated version of the Chevrolet TrailBlazer 2, there are two engines to choose from:

  • The first is a petrol 3.6-liter "six" with a V-shaped layout and distributed injection, generating 277 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 350 Nm of peak thrust at 3700 rpm.
  • The second is a 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with turbocharging and Common Rail power technology, the potential of which is 200 "mares" at 3600 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm.

Both motors are combined with a 6-speed "automatic", rigidly activated four-wheel drive and "razdatka" with a reduction gear.

The structurally modified version of the second generation TrailBlazer has not changed: the classic frame chassis at the base, independent front suspension on double wishbones, dependent rear architecture with trailing arms and Panhard rod, rack and pinion steering gear with hydraulic booster and four-wheel disc brakes with electronic assistants ".

In Brazil, sales of the restyled Chevrolet TrailBlazer started in May 2016 (its price there practically did not change - from ~ 181 thousand Brazilian reais), after which "he" began to conquer markets and other countries, but probably will not reach Russia anymore - due to with the "half-exit" of this brand from the Russian market.

In the "base" the SUV offers: front airbags, power steering, audio system, air conditioning, ABS, ESP, power windows for all doors and 16-inch alloy wheels.
