The world premiere of the most powerful modification (with the prefix "SVR" in the name) of the second generation of the Range Rover Sport SUV was held within the framework of MIAS-2014, after which the Russian dealers of the British automaker began accepting orders for the new product.

The Range Rover Sport SVR has the most powerful engine in the history of the model, which allowed it to set a record for the Nürburgring among SUVs (time - 8 minutes 14 seconds, which is exactly 10 seconds faster than the BMW X6 M).

In October 2017, the "charged" SUV underwent restyling - it slightly changed in appearance, received an even more refined interior, became a little more powerful and agile, "tried on" a carbon fiber hood (instead of an aluminum one) and acquired new options.

But let's start with the design. The SVR modification differs from the usual Range Rover Sport by the presence of air intakes - on the hood, front fenders and bumper. Due to the presence of the latter, the developers had to abandon the foglights.

In addition, the five-door radiator grille is painted black, and its rear is crowned with an "exclusive" bumper with diffuser and four tailpipes.

It is a mid-size SUV that measures 4879 mm long, 2073 mm wide and 1803 mm high. The distance between the pairs of wheels at the five-door is 2923 mm, and its "standard" ground clearance is 213 mm.

When equipped, the car weighs 2310 kg, and its gross weight is 3000 kg.

The configuration of the front panel and center console, in general, is here - they repeat those of the "regular Range Rover Sport" ... but the differences in the interior of the "SVR", first of all, can be observed in the sports seats (with two-tone leather upholstery and SVR logos applied on them ).

In addition, for the interior decoration of the SVR modifications, four different color combinations are offered for interior decoration - so that buyers have a wide choice.

As for the cargo-passenger capabilities, in this regard, the "charged" SUV does not differ from its "civilian brother".

Under the hood of the Range Rover Sport SVR is an 8-cylinder V-shaped compressor engine with a displacement of 5.0 liters. Its power is 575 horsepower (before modernization - 550) at 6000-6500 rpm, and the torque reaches 700 Nm (before modernization - 680) at 2500-5500 rpm.

The engine is aggregated with an 8-band "automatic" ZF 8HP70 with new settings and an all-wheel drive transmission with a symmetrical center differential, thanks to this combination - this SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in an impressive 4.5 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 280 km / hour (limited by electronics).

Land Rover Range Rover Sport in the "SVR" version has a fully independent air suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers, which allows you to change the ground clearance in the range from 150 to 235 mm and overcome ford depths of up to 850 mm.

The car is equipped with electric power steering and variable characteristics depending on the driving conditions, as well as high-performance ventilated disc brakes on all wheels, supplemented by ABS, EBD and other electronics.

In the Russian market for the Range Rover Sport SVR 2017-2018 model year, you will have to pay at least 8,929,000 rubles.

As standard, this SUV is equipped with: front and side airbags, sports front seats, LED matrix headlights, leather interior trim, high-class "music", a multimedia complex with a 10-inch screen, climate control and the darkness of other modern equipment.
