Mazda 3 Sedan is a front- or all-wheel drive sedan of the compact segment (aka "C-class" by European standards), in which expressive appearance, stylish and practical interior, modern technology and a large number of options "coexist" ... Four-door model (unlike five-door) is addressed, first of all, to family people who prefer classic forms of aggression ...

The fourth-generation Mazda 3 sedan first appeared before the international community in November 2018 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, having seriously changed against the background of its predecessor - the car "tried on" an expressive design, perched on a thoroughly redesigned "cart", noticeably enlarged in size and received the widest list progressive "bells and whistles" ... and he "reached" Russia only in the fall of 2019.

Exterior

The exterior of the four-door "treshka" is made in the same vein as the hatchback, but the sedan looks, though not so expressive, but at the same time no less attractive, modern and harmonious and certainly more mature. And if in the profile and from the stern a protruding trunk allows recognizing the three-volume, then "from the face" it is given out by a radiator grille with a more solid structure and a different bumper.

The length of the fourth generation Mazda 3 Sedan extends to 4660 mm, and its width and height are 1795 mm and 1440 mm, respectively. The distance between the wheelsets of the front and rear axles is 2725 mm, and its ground clearance is a modest 135 mm.

Interior

Inside, the four-door model completely repeats its five-door "brother" - a laconic, but modern and stylish design without piling up unnecessary elements, verified ergonomics, exceptionally solid finishing materials and a high-quality level of assembly.

The passenger capabilities of a sedan and a hatchback are also comparable - the three-volume cabin has a five-seater layout with a sufficient margin of free space in both rows and ergonomically profiled seats.

In the arsenal of the "fourth" Mazda 3 Sedan - a rather roomy trunk by the standards of the class, the volume of which in normal condition is 444 liters.

The backrest of the rear bench, divided into two parts in a ratio of "60:40", when folded down, increases the capacity of the cargo compartment to 1138 liters. Well, in a niche under the raised floor near the car there is a "dock" and the necessary tools.

Specifications

In the Russian market, the fourth-generation Mazda 3 sedan is offered with only one gasoline engine - a four-cylinder "aspirated" Skyactiv-G with a working volume of 1.5 liters with direct injection, step-by-step phase shifters with an electric drive at the inlet and outlet and a 16-valve DOHC timing belt, which produces 120 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 153 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.

The engine is combined with an uncontested 6-band hydromechanical "automatic", which supplies the entire power reserve to the wheels of the front axle.

This combination allows the four-door to gain the first "hundred" after 12.3 seconds and accelerate to 200 km / h as much as possible, while consuming an average of 6 liters of fuel for every 100 km of run in combined mode.
