Nissan Juke is a front-wheel drive crossover of a subcompact category that combines an original appearance, a stylish and practical interior, decent personalization options and a wide range of progressive options ... The car is addressed, first of all, to urban youth who lead an active lifestyle and love fashion accessories and technological innovations ...

The official premiere of the second generation Nissan Juke, which was preceded by a number of teasing teasers, took place on September 3, 2019 at special events in five European cities at once - in Paris, London, Barcelona, Milan and Cologne (and such a scale is not accidental, since the previous SUV used an excellent in demand in the Old World).

Compared to its predecessor, the car has changed in all directions - it received a more modern appearance, while remaining true to its original style, "moved" to a new platform, increased a little in size, simultaneously dropping a couple of tens of kilograms, acquired a completely redrawn and more spacious interior. and also "armed" with a bunch of advanced options.

Exterior

Exterior design is one of the main features of the second generation Nissan Juke, as the crossover looks really peculiar, but at the same time it is quite attractive, balanced and dynamic. The front view of the car flaunts large oval headlights with a Y-shaped structure, with eyebrows of navigation lights, a mesh V-Motion radiator grill and a raised bumper, and its rear part is crowned with graceful lanterns, a large trunk lid with hexagonal stamping under the number and a neat bumper.

In profile, the SUV is perceived as a real robust man, and the credit for this belongs to the "swollen" fenders and embossed contours of the wheel arches, accommodating "rollers" measuring up to 19 inches. Well, the energy in the outlines of the five-door is exalted by the sloping roofline with a blackened C-pillar and disguised rear door handles.

Size and weight

In terms of dimensions, the "second" Nissan Juke is a typical representative of the subcompact class: its length extends to 4210 mm, of which 2636 mm is the distance between the wheelsets of the front and rear axles, the width is 1800 mm, and the height does not exceed 1595 mm.

The curb weight of the crossover varies from 1257 to 1292 kg, depending on the modification.

Interior

In contrast to the exterior, inside the "Juke" of the second generation cannot boast of something special - even if everything here is done in accordance with modern fashion trends, but without any "zest". At the driver's workplace there is a stylish instrument cluster with two arrow dials, between which a color display of the onboard computer is inscribed, and a relief three-spoke multi-steering wheel with a "sawed-down" rim from the bottom, extolling a bit of sportiness in the cabin.

Above the laconic center console, an 8-inch screen of the multimedia complex "hovers", under which there are three ventilation turbine deflectors and an unpretentious "control panel" of the air conditioning system.

The decoration of the subcompact crossover is five-seater, and a normal supply of free space is promised to the inhabitants of both rows of seats. At the front there are spectacular armchairs with integrated headrests, developed lateral support and sufficient adjustment intervals, and in the rear there is an ergonomically profiled sofa.

The luggage compartment of the second generation Nissan Juke in normal condition is capable of holding up to 422 liters of luggage, and in addition to this, it also has a good shape.

The second row of seats folds in two unequal parts (in the ratio "60:40") into a completely flat area with a length of almost 1.5 meters, which increases the capacity of the "hold" to 1088 liters.

Specifications

For the Japanese SUV, only one gasoline unit is offered - this is an in-line three-cylinder engine with a working volume of 1.0 liters (999 cubic centimeters) with a turbocharging, a direct fuel injection system, a 12-valve timing structure and phase shifters at the inlet and outlet, which produces 117 horsepower at 5250 rpm / minute and 200 Nm of torque at 1750-3750 rpm.

By default, the engine is paired with a 6-speed "manual" gearbox and front-wheel drive transmission, however, at an additional cost, it can be equipped with a 7-speed robotized dual-clutch gearbox.

Speed, dynamics, consumption

From a standstill to 100 km / h, the five-door is accelerated after 10.4-11.1 seconds (in favor of the "mechanics"), and its maximum speed in any case is 180 km / h.

For every "hundred" track in the combined cycle, the car requires from 4.8 to 4.9 liters of fuel, depending on the version.

Design

The second "release" Nissan Juke is built on a new platform called the CMF-B with a transverse engine and a monocoque body structure, which is heavily used in the power structure of high-strength grades of steel.

At the front, the car has an independent MacPherson-type suspension, and at the rear - a semi-independent system with a torsion beam (both with steel springs and transverse stabilizers).

By default, the crossover is equipped with rack and pinion steering and electric power assistance. Disc brakes are applied on all wheels of the five-door: on the front - ventilated with a diameter of 280 mm, on the rear - the usual 260 mm.

Options and prices

It is assumed that sales of the second generation Nissan Juke on the Russian market will not start until the second half of 2020, but it reached European dealers in November 2019.

As for the cost, in Europe for a car in the basic configuration with "mechanics" will have to pay a minimum of ≈19 thousand euros (≈1.4 million rubles), while the version with a "robot" will cost from ≈22 thousand euros ( ≈1.66 million rubles).

The standard subcompact crossover is equipped with: front and side airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, full LED optics, electric parking brake, power windows for all doors, air conditioning, an audio system with four speakers, 16-inch alloy wheels, "cruise", electrically adjustable mirrors, automatic braking system (able to recognize pedestrians, road signs and cyclists) and other equipment.
