The cargo version of the Dacia Docker was shown simultaneously with the passenger model - as part of the (little-known to Europeans) auto show held in North Africa (Casablanca Morocco) in 1012. In short - this version has lost the back sofa and received the prefix "Van" to the name.

The production of the cargo "heel" is carried out in the same place as the "main model" - at the new Renault plant, located on the African Mediterranean coast (in the immediate vicinity of the Strait of Gibraltar).

The appearance of the "truck" almost exactly repeats the appearance of its "passenger brother", but with some minor differences. The car received a body "all-metal van" - designed to carry only two passengers (including the driver), but with a huge luggage compartment.

For the sake of practicality, the front and rear bumpers were originally made of unpainted black plastic (but in 2016 they began to be painted in body color), the protective wide molding along the lower edge of the side doors was made of the same plastic.
The sliding door is only on the starboard side, the rear hinged "wickets" as an option can be with glass (but in the basic version they are "deaf metal"). Simplicity and functionality - this is how you can describe in a nutshell the appearance of this "assistant car".

Traders and merchandisers, builders and electricians, delivery services ... etc. - will gladly purchase such a car.

Well, what about the external dimensions of the Dacia Docker Van cargo van: height - 1809 mm, length - 4363 mm, width - 1751 mm, base - 2810 mm, considerable ground clearance - 186 mm (decreasing at full load to 151 mm).

In the front part of the cabin, two people will comfortably sit - the driver and his passenger. The design of the front dashboard and center console is characterized by simplicity and functionality. A comfortable steering wheel, a dashboard (which is informative and easy to read), a lot of compartments for storing small things throughout the cabin of the "van". For a surcharge, it will be possible to order a "touch display" with a diagonal of 18 cm (navigation, USB input, Bluetooth, CD-mp3 music).

But "the most interesting and important thing" here begins behind the partition that separates the passenger seats from the luggage compartment. By the way, depending on the wishes of the client, the dividing wall can be solid metal or folding mesh. With a driver and a passenger, the "Romanian heel" is able to take on board up to 600 kg of cargo, and the useful volume of the luggage compartment is 3.3 m³ (the length of the loading platform is 190 cm).

In the presence of "only the driver" in the car, the load capacity of the Dacia Docker Van increases to 750 kg ... but there is another interesting "feature" in the "Dokker Van" with a mesh partition: thanks to the pivoting mechanism, half of the fence can be opened (like a door) in the driver's side and folding the passenger seat (equipped with the Dacia Easy Seat system) - increase the length of the loading platform to 242 centimeters ... But that's not all the possibilities of transforming the interior of this van: by dismantling the passenger seat, you can load items up to 311 cm long (impressive !?) ...

Access to the cargo compartment is through sliding side and / or rear hinged doors (by the way, with a fairly low loading height).

In terms of technical characteristics, the Dacia Dokker Van is offered with the same engines that are installed on the passenger version of the compact van:

  • Petrol: 1.6MPI at 85hp and 1.2TCe at 115 hp.
  • And three diesels with a capacity of 75, 90 and 110 "horses" (the volume of all 1.5 liters).

All motors are aggregated with 5 manual gearboxes.

The front suspension is independent on the MacPherson strut, the rear with a beam (from Renault Kangoo) and a reinforced anti-roll bar (in comparison with the passenger version).

In terms of equipment, this "truck" in the "base" has: front airbags for the driver and passenger, hydraulic booster, ABS with EBD and "audio preparation".

The price of the 2017 Dacia Dokker Van in Europe starts at € 9,800.
